Motor Condition Monitoring Overview

MCM gives an early warning of developing faults in pumps, compressors, fans and other electric motor driven machinery. By measuring only voltages and currents, MCM can detect conditions arising from faulty bearings, misalignment errors, load imbalance, isolation, and a variety of electrical and mechanical faults.

Motor Condition Monitor (MCM) — is an award winning product for predictive maintenance of electric motors and motor based machinery.

MCM’s primary purpose is to provide early warning of progressively deteriorating machine and process conditions, thereby maximising your assets by reducing unplanned downtime and improving revenue and savings.

MCM can detect mechanical failures such as:

  • misalignment
  • imbalance
  • bearing and shaft problems
  • gearbox problems

In addition MCM can detect electrical problems such as isolation problems, rotor bar and other electrical problems, as well as the problems on process control and other control devices.
